Written testimonials

Hello all,
My name is Miss Annie and I was asked by Dr. Deldar's office to write a testimonial about my experience with them. Before I do that, I will share that I had the worst, meanest, unkind dentist known to man. I would beg my mamma to not let me go back. I would cry and cry and always I had to go back. He would yell and scream at me and say that can't possibly hurt. I just decided then that when I was 18 years old that I would brush and floss and never go back. I did only when something was hurting or when a tooth broke.

I finally decided this year that I had to make some changes. What you will now learn is that I am 47 years old. I am an avid listener of 107.9 the track. I was getting ready one morning and I heard the radio ad for Dr. Deldar's office. I knew that it was time to take care of me and that was the place for me to go. I made the appointment.

I was greeted by Miss Amy on the phone and told her my story. She listened and told me that it was alright to be afraid. I am so thankful for her. I remember driving to my first appointment. I was terrified. I almost turned around and drove home. I was feeling sick to my stomach. Can I just tell you how much things have changed at the dentist??? Amazing!! I will never forget when I walked into the office. The kindness that radiated from everyone. First there was Amy, then Miss Ann...the hygienist, then Dr. Deldar. She came out and said that Amy had shared my story and she was very proud of me for being there. The great news is that I have now had my entire mouth completely fixed and I look beautiful. The biggest surprise is that they can take care of one side of my mouth at a time instead of one tooth at a time. I even had my wisdom teeth out a month ago and that caused me an anxiety attack a visit before I had them removed. Mr. Dr. Deldar was in the office and he came in and calmed me down with everyone else. I was in tears because I was so afraid of getting them out.

One more story. Dr. Deldar was going to take my wisdom teeth out. After seeing my anxiety attack, he thought it would be best if I was completely sedated and recommended an oral surgeon. His office does a partial sedation and he knew I needed more. There are two highlights to share. First, both doctors offered that one of them would come to the oral surgeon with me to get my wisodm teeth out. HOW WONDERFUL IS THAT??!! I was so thankful and I actually went by myself because I wasn't afraid anymore. I did great!! Second, the doctors checked on me after every visit. That is a part of customer service that we need to get back.

I am so thankful for them and if anyone has any questions for me, please call the office and they will give you my number. Please call me if you are afraid. Thank you for reading my story. Human kindness is back!!!

Miss Annie

Dear Dr. Deldar,

I wanted to write you a letter to thank you for the service you have given me thus far as a patient. It is easy to complain about bad service, and easier yet to not acknowledge good service and just come to expect it.

After my past experience, I wanted to let you know how much I appreciate the service given to me by your entire staff. The part I appreciated the most was the way you explained everything before taking action, and when I didn't quite understand something, you were patient with my questions. I would also like to thank you and your assistant for being gentle.

I am very worried about the condition of my teeth, but finally can breathe a sigh of relief that I have found a dentist I can work with an trust.

Sincerely,
Michelle Fulkerson

My journey with TMJ started about 5 years ago. I started having severe pain in my jaw and down the back of my neck. I went to my family dentist who thought I was grinding my teeth at night and fitted me with a night guard. It helped a little bit but did not take the pain away.

It progressively got worse, though it was manageable. Early in 2010 I had to have a root canal/crown on one of my teeth because I was having severe pain on the right side of my mouth. This is when I hit bottom. I was in severe pain in my ear, jaw, neck, head, and having dizzy spells. I was taking 6-8 Ibuprofens a day with no relief. I talked to my family dentist at the time that gave me no options other than braces and seemed totally uninterested in the fact that I was in such pain.

So my husband and I started researching TMJ. We came upon a network on Facebook for people with TMJ and the doctors/dentists on this network suggested finding a doctor/dentist in your area tat belongs to the ICCMO professional organization. They specialize in treatment of TMJ and TMD. This is how I found Dr. Deldar.

I made an appointment to have a consultation with him and everything he said followed my pain pattern. I was very skeptical at first because I couldn't understand how this treatment could make my pain go away. And because spending the money was a risk. Although at this point I was out of options. So I started treatment with Dr. Deldar. He did the necessary tests and I was shocked at how tense my jaw muscles were. He fitted me with my first orthotic. After two days I had very little relief. So right away, he send it back to adjust it. The second orthotic did the trick! After 48 hours I was 70% pain free. Though the orthotic is hard to get used to eating with, I was so excited to have so much less pain! So after using this orthotic for 2 months, I changed to a different orthotic that is much lower and gives my mouth a more normal position.

Though I am still unsure if I will go though phase 2, I am so very glad I did take the risk. It is so worth it to live without all the pain and not to have to take so much OTC medication.

Before being fitted with the SomnoDent appliance, I snored heavily and apparently did not get good sleep. I needed three naps a day, about two hours in length each, as well as sleeping at night. My legs were weak and I had very little energy.

When I began using the appliance, my wife says I no longer snore, there are just puffing sounds and she is sleeping better. I now usually take only one nap a day, in the afternoon, and it is much shorter. My energy level is much better and I no longer have weakness in my legs.

I am very thankful for the appliance and thankful that it has helped, because I could NOT use the CPAP machine.

I experienced intense pain after a dental procedure. My dentist diagnosed the condition as TMJ, instructed me to wear a rubber bite plate and 'give it some time'.  If that don't relieve the pain his treatment plan was upper teeth splint and 'give it some time' followed by orthodontics. The pain extended from my shoulders and neck thru my face and jaws to the top of my head. I needed immediate relief!

Dr. Deldar has neuromuscular and TMJ specific training and diagnostic equipment to ensure the least invasive and most effective TMJ treatment. I was 90% pain free after wearing the orthtotic mouth piece one week and completely pain free within five weeks. The tensing treatments were total relaxation to my facial muscles.

Dr. Deldar and his staff are dedicated to patient care and comfort. I very much appreciate their friendly attitudes and office environment.

Thanks to Dr. Deldar, I can now be confident about my teeth.

I have had over 4 metal fillings removed which had allowed bacteria to grow underneath them, and also looked awful with porcelain inlays.

Dr. Deldar has the most advanced technology available and not only educates you, but can also show you high-definition color photos of your teeth.

The staff is always cautious and exceptional.

I had been dealing with headaches, jaw pain, and popping in my jaw for a few months before I decided to go see Dr. Deldar.

It took awhile to get used tot the mouth piece but once I got used to it I had no problems.

After about 2 weeks my jaw began to feel a lot better, the popping in my jaw eventually went away after a couple of days. My headaches went away after the first night. Overall my jaw has shown huge improvement. It is amazing that a mouth piece can adjust my jaw so much that I can tell when I take out the mouth piece.

I am very happy with the progress I have made with the help of Dr. Deldar.

When I started taking my son Jonny to the dentist he was about three years old. Jonny was completely afraid of letting someone look in his mouth. He was afraid of the tools, the dentist, the chair...everything. It was hopeless.

By the time Jonny turned three and a half I feared that he may have a few cavities. I knew he needed dental care. I switched dentists and took him to see Dr. Deldar. What a savior!

Dr. Deldar spent over an hour just gaining Jonny's trust. He was extremely patient with Jonny. It was amazing. He was able to fill Jonny's cavities and give him a complete cleaning, with no problems from Jonny.

Jonny recently had his 6-month check-up. He was so good for Dr. Deldar and had no cavities this time.

After dealing with TMJ pain for quite some time, I decided it was time to look into treatment. Being a dental hygienist, I decided to try a night guard first. I had no luck with a night guard and was still in pain. This is when I found Dr. Deldar.

The methods of Neuromuscular Dentistry that Dr. Deldar uses has improved my everyday life. With the orthotic I am pain free, when eating, speaking, working out, and sleeping! The muscles in my face, neck, and shoulders are finally relaxed. I have also suffered from migraine headaches for almost seven years and have found relief with the treatment Dr. Deldar provided.

Dr. Deldar's expansive knowledge in neuromuscular dentistry has changed my life.

My name is Amber Bradley.
For the last year or so have I been having a lot of pain in my jaw area as well as my shoulders and back. I have also had migraines as well, and my husband tells me I wake him up at night grinding my teeth. I consulted with my dentist and she fit me for a couple of mouth splints. Neither of them seemed to be helping me at all. In fact, I actually broke them grinding at night.

Finally my dentist referred me to Dr. Deldar. I had no idea that all of my pain in my face, jaw, back, and head aches were linked together until I met with Dr. Deldar. After he explained TMJ and it's symptoms to me it all made sense. We started treatment right away and now I'm pain free. I'm no longer waking up at night clinching and grinding. I'm actually sleeping thru the night and not waking up in the mornings with head aches that always seemed impossible to get rid of.

I'm very pleased with the success of my treatment so far. Dr. Deldar and is staff have been wonderful.

For 26 years I wore a mouth guard to prevent me from grinding my teeth. Over those 16 years, I have gone thru four mouth guards as I have grinded through them. After a few years wearing the mouth guard, I started having constant headaches throughout the day. I figured that the stress of work and having more reponsibility in my life had somethig to do with it, so I just took medication to eliminate the headaches.

Five years ago, I met Dr. deldar at my children's daycare. We got talking and I took the opportunity to tell him my story about my teeth grinding. He said I should come in for a consultation as he knows what the issue is and that he can help me.

I began treatment three years ago and within a couple of weeks under Dr. Deldar's care, my headaches went away, my teeth grinding has been minimized to rarely and I live my life optimally.
